King Abdulaziz University has been ranked first in the Universities’ Sports Performance Index for the 15th season, announced at the annual ceremony marking the launch of the 16th sports season of the Saudi Universities Sports Federation (SUSF). The event took place on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at the Ministry headquarters in Riyadh.
His Excellency Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Benyan, Minister of Education and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Universities Sports Federation, honored the University in the presence of Prof. Hanaa bint Abdullah Al-Naeem, Vice President for Educational Affairs, and Prof. Fouad Bin Abdulaziz Abulaban, Dean of Student Affairs. The University’s male and female students earned top positions across a variety of individual and team sports, securing the overall lead in the university rankings.
Male students achieved first place in the overall index, excelling with first place finishes in basketball, football, taekwondo, and karate. They also secured second place in swimming, volleyball, para athletics, esports, and futsal, along with third place in track & field.
Meanwhile, female students ranked third overall. Their achievements included first place in para athletics, second place in basketball and karate, and third place in badminton and football. They also earned fourth place in futsal and chess, and fifth place in track & field.
King Abdulaziz University continues to place strong emphasis on sports as a vital component of student life, enhancing their role in building character and developing skills.
